I have lived in Hampden for over the last 4 years (also lived here for 2 years back in 2014). Since June of last year, I have been a member of the clean and green committee, helping with organized trash pick-ups and other events. I created flyers, scheduled meetings, and expressed interest in being a part of the Sisson Street Taskforce, and joined the board as the HCC Sisson Street Task Force representative in October, acting as liaison for the community and making sure our position and voices are heard. This year I am running for Vice President on the board, lending more of my skills to continue to help the community while also representing the HCC on the Sisson Street task force. By day I am Head of Design for Lindywell, a Pilates app in the digital wellness space. I work from home, with my husband and Bulldog Moose.

I have been a member of the Board and in this role as Secretary for the past twelve (12) years, longer than any other HCC Board Member. I am proud of the work that the Board has done through the years to benefit the residents of Hampden. Member of the committee updating the By-Laws on which the HCC still relies to date. Organized a paint night at the Blue Pit, bingo at Nepenthe, dunk booth at Hampdenfest, safety awareness Happy Hour at Chuck’s and Waverly Brewing. Most recently I have been instrumental in the Fire Relief fund for Keswick Road residents, the protest of Brick Bistro, and the neighbor dispute with the Barn & Lodge. Organized cash and in kind donations for fire victims and helped organize the Keswick Road block party with Pathways Church to celebrate the community in healing. Born and raised in Hampden. I attended Robert Poole (School #56) Kindergarten, Elementary and Junior High. From there, I attended Western High School, Loyola College, and University of Maryland at Baltimore law school. Currently an attorney, I practice estate planning, probate, and trust administration. Running for re-election as Secretary for the benefit of Hampden and its residents.

Aaron is a Hampden resident in the lower west side with his wife Kelli for 7 years, where they have an adventurous son named Ezra, who can be spotted riding his balance-bike, weaving through the narrow sidewalks of The Avenue. Aaron works with the Baltimore non profit, Thread, recruiting volunteers and building partnerships across communities in Baltimore City - ACCE is one of our partnered high schools. Marissa Slivkanich has been a resident of Hampden for 6 years. She works full time as a Dental Hygienist and wanted to be more involved with the neighborhood she loved so much. In January 2025 she joined the community council. For the past year she’s been running audio/visual for the monthly meetings and also assisting in organizing events for the community.

I’ve lived in Hampden for the last 10 years. I used to be more active with the HCC prior to the pandemic. During/After the pandemic, I got married and had kids. So I took some time off for myself to focus on my family. Being a (relatively) newly minted parent I wanted to reengage with the HCC to support their mission to maintain and improve the Hampden community. As an attorney who has served the City of Baltimore and State in varying capacities - public safety, business licensing, and housing - I think I have the training and experience to help grow the organization, ensure the Board effectively represents the community of Hampden by engaging with stakeholders, and communicating directly with residents about the status of HCC initiatives.

I've been living in Hampden since 2011. I am invested in this neighborhood -- my daughter goes to Hampden Elementary/Middle School and my wife works at a local non-profit. My background is in computer software and tech. Last year I helped out on the board by maintaining the existing website and doing various other technical stuff. I also served as the Education Committee chair.

My name is Virginia Peters-Rodbell, I grew up in Maryland and have lived in Baltimore City for almost 12 years. I’ve resided in Hampden for 6 years and currently serve the HCC Board as the Safety Co-Chair. My focus is on ensuring that people in the neighborhood get the help they need and that problematic or dangerous individuals are held accountable (or helped) rather than slipping through the cracks. I do this by serving as a victims advocate, keeping in close touch with the DA’s office, as well as the Northern District Police department which collaborates closely with social workers to address issues in our community such as homelessness, squatting or addiction. While I do not solve these issues myself, I serve as a point of communication between the community, Police department and the courts.

I'm a proud Hampden resident of nine years, and bring a strong commitment to civic engagement and public safety. I work full-time as a certified events and meetings planner for large-scale medical conferences and recently completed Baltimore City’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) certification program. I am passionate about serving my neighbors, and as the HCC Safety Co-Chair, I have a goal of strengthening emergency preparedness and community resilience. Outside of my professional role, I moonlight in various volunteer opportunities, I am an outdoorsy nature-lover, and a music enthusiast.

As a resident of the 800 block of 33 rd street, I have called Hampden “home” since 2016. I spent my childhood in Baltimore City, and was excited to return to as an adult. I have absolutely fallen in love with Hampden for all the amazing things it has to offer: friendly neighbors, hundreds of locally owned shops and restaurants, delicious food, and a quirky and creative vibe. Last summer, I got involved in the HCC and ran to be on the Board and serve as Co-chair of the Clean and Green Committee. I am excited to have the opportunity to be an engaged member of the community, and to play a role in improving the neighborhood. If elected to continue in this role, I look forward to building on our initiatives to host community clean-ups, plant trees, and additional activities to make Hampden cleaner and greener.

I’ve lived on the 800 block of W 35th Street in Hampden since 2010 and I love this neighborhood for its friendly community, walkability to tons of locally owned shops and restaurants, green spaces and parks, and easy connection by bike or car to adjacent neighborhoods and downtown. I have served as the Hampden Community Council’s Clean & Green Committee Co-Chair since June of 2025 and look forward to continuing to serve the community in this role by co-hosting clean-up events, tree care and planting days, and more. I have 30 years of nonprofit leadership experience and I am currently earning my Baltimore TreeKeeper’s certification.

I have lived on the 3100 block of Keswick in Hampden since 2017 with my wife and daughter, and have lived in the city since 2006. I work in the Woodberry area as an architect and am involved in projects throughout the city and beyond. Having studied architecture in Washington DC and Portland OR, I am very engaged in urban solutions, and think Hampden is a place that requires both preservation efforts as well as smart scaled development.

I have lived around the Baltimore area for most of my life and I love this city. In 2012, I rented a room from a friend on Beech Avenue and immediately felt at home in Hampden with its strong sense of community and character. In 2020, I purchased my home on Keswick Road where I live with my two adult children. Professionally, I have spent the last 15 years working in the fire and life safety field as an account manager. Over the past year, I have become more actively involved in Hampden by regularly attending HCCC meetings and participating in DOT safety walks along the Keswick corridor where we discussed ways to improve safety through traffic calming and pedestrian-friendly infrastructure. I was asked to consider serving as a board member and welcome the opportunity to contribute to Hampden’s growth and success. I am passionate about ensuring our neighborhood remains vibrant and responsive to the needs of residents and businesses and welcoming to visitors. My particular areas of interest are transit, pedestrian safety, and smart development through good zoning and land use policies that encourage walkable, mixed-use, community-focused development. One of the things I love about Baltimore is the bustling arts and cultural community. In my free time, you can find me out seeing live music, theater, festivals, movie screenings, and gallery events throughout the city.
